Officially cited to as the Formula 1 Emirates Großer Preis von Deutschland 2018, German Grand Prix was the eleventh round of Formula One World Championship 2018. Held on 22nd July 2018, this motor race marked the 77th running of the German Grand Prix.

In the beginning, Sebastian Vettel had been romping to victory, until the rain started to fall. He was ahead of Valtteri Bottas, Hamilton’s teammate. But when the rain started falling heavily, it turned the entire scenario of the game. Unfortunately, Vettel got crashed out that gave Mercedes driver a lead of 17 points. 

Lewis Hamilton who had secured 2nd position in the British Grand Prix 2018 took a sensational victory in this championship.

Practice 1 (20th July 2018)

Would team Red Bullcontinue their winning journey which they started with Austrian Grand Prix? The first practice session started with good hopes for team Red Bull. Daniel Ricciardo dominated Mercedes by 0.004s. Max Verstappen, another Red Bull member came 3rd, got one position ahead of Sebastian Vettel who was following close behind. 

Practice 2 (20th July 2018)

The member of team RED BULL RACING TAG HEUER, Verstappen completed the fastest ever lap of the German track. The record was broken twice in the session. Without any gap, he completed 18 laps in time 1:13.085. However, a bad news was waiting for him. He complained to his team about a strange noise on his RB14 when he was downshifting. Mercedes drivers Hamilton and Bottas managed to secure 2nd and 3rd position in the race. 

The practice sessions weren’t that much disappointing for team Ferraris even. As Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were on 4th and 5th in the race. 

Practice 3 (21st July 2018)

Umbrellas were up and engines were on. Heavy rain welcomed all the participants for the final practice session. Conditions were tragedies kept stars of previous races such as Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas away from the top positions. 

In this practice session, Charles from Monégasque secured the first position. While Marcus Ericsson and Sergey Sirotkin came 2nd and 3rd.

Qualifying (21st July 2018)

In the qualifying round, Sebastian Vettel was just 0.2s ahead of second-placed man Valtteri Bottas. Kimi Raikkonen another Ferrari team member was 3rd while Max Verstappen from RED BULL RACING TAG HEUER had to satisfy with the 4th position.

Final Race(22nd July 2018)

Hamilton who never won any race from outside the top six, this time even surprised his teammate Valtteri Bottas who secured second place in the race. 

In this race, Hamilton also matched the record of Michael Schumacher’s record of 4 German GP wins. Right from the beginning, Hamilton got a better start in the race. He left three leading drives (Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen, and Bottas) behind and took a sensational victory in this rain-hit round of Formula 1 World Championship.
