As everyone was expecting, the 5th round of theFormula One World Championship 2018, Spanish Grand Prix was one of the most happening races of the entire championship. Spectators witnessed some great actions from start to finish. This race featured some heavy lap crashes, plenty of collisions and spins and two caution periods.

Held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Montmelo, it was the first race of this Formula 1 season, in which the win was not argued at all. For Lewis Hamilton, it was the second win in a row but it was not that much easy for him. Anyhow, he managed to dominate the race for Mercedes.

Overall, it was a successful race for Mercedes teammates as Valtteri Bottas (another Mercedes member) secured 2nd position. Unfortunately, this time Red Bull team had to satisfy with 3rd position.

This race has put Hamilton in a commanding position in the Formula One championship 2018. Right from the beginning, Hamilton was in the mood to win this race. The race became easier for him when three drivers got wiped out of the race at Turn 3 because of huge smoke caused by Grosjean’s HAAS Ferrari.

Since the opening event in Australia, the Spanish Grand Prix 2018 is the first race in which Mercedes didn’t look back in the face of a faster Ferrari. Before this race, people used to believe that Hamilton’s qualifying in Melbourne was just because of his compatibility with that particular track.

There can be possibilities that Ferraris have some issues with tyres that caused trouble for their drivers in Azerbaijan, China, and Bahrain. But surely, It was an amazing race event for team Mercedes.

Speaking of local heroes, Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso also managed to secure 7th and 8th position in the championship.
