The Australian Grand Prix 2018, which is also known as Formula 1 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix motor race was held on 23-25th March 2018 in Melbourne, Victoria. In the combined history of Australian Grand Prix, this race is marked as the 82nd race that dates back to the 1928’s 100 miles road race. This year, it was started on 22 March 2018 till 25th March and the race was held between 20 Contenders. Out of which, the top contenders were Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) And Kimi RÄIKKÖNEN(Ferrari).

The battle was very much on, and starting on pole, Hamilton gets a good start over Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari Driver) and Sebastian Vettel. Hamilton was in control of the race until Haas of Romain Grosjean stopped on track and the officials imposed a virtual safety car that limited the speed of other cars on the track. After Virtual Safety Car converted into a full safety car and it went into the pits. The race resumed and Vettel got to lead from Raikkonen and Hamilton. The Max Verstappen and Red Bulls of Daniel Ricciardo both were recovering after been stuck behind the Haas F1 machines.

Hamilton tracked Ferrari closely to lead the race, but he was unable to do so as he lost his speed in the closing laps and focused on maintaining second. It was quite a blow for Hamilton as this was the first race of 2018, so he hopes that he will beat Vettel who was the firsts driver of the era to win a fifth world title.
